with a Poem by Natalio Hernández The legend of Icarus follows the story of a boy in ancient Greece who flew too close to the sun. "Ícaro" is my answer to the Greek myth. The Incans, long regarded as the children of the sun, joined by the Maya and Mexica in reverence to the life-giver as not a danger, but an origin. Icaró is a child of the sun, giving life, song, and beauty to the world just as Natalio's poem does.
