Being a queer Salvadoran & Mexican, my identities have truly shaped how I see the world and how the world has seen me in return. Being part of any marginalized community immediately means that you will be looked down upon, expected less of, and never intend to succeed. I strive to reshape the narrative of how people see my culture. Outside of the expectations and preconceived notions, I want people to see the depth of our beauty and strength in our roots.
